The Scientific World Congress on Non-Pharmacological Interventions (NPIs)

Psychosocial, nutritional and physical interventions have become essential solutions for health through advances in research and science. These evidence-based practices are increasingly integrating personalized care, health and life pathways, sometimes in addition to medical treatments, sometimes upstream in the context of prevention, sometimes downstream in end-of-life support. Scientists have been calling these practices non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) since 1975.

The scientific world congress organized by the international learned society dedicated to the development of research and innovation in NPIs, the Non-Pharmacological Intervention Society (NPIS), provides an opportunity to publicize scientifically validated NMIs, to share evidence of efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness, to better understand their mechanisms of action, to discuss evaluation methodologies, and to point out relevant socio-economic models.

The congress is aimed at researchers, practitioners, professionals, policymakers and patient associations interested in the scientific, medical, economic, social, legal and ethical issues raised by NMIs. It aims to strengthen the NMI sector and a common culture in a disparate community accustomed to working in silos.

This 12^th edition focuses on chronic diseases and the sustainable health.

The next congress will take place on October 16, 17 and 18, 2024 in Paris at the Campus International  Universitaire de Paris (CIUP). The days of October 16 and 17 will be devoted mainly to papers in French. The day of October 18 will be dedicated to scientific presentations in English.

On the sidelines of the congress, you have the opportunity to meet other attendees, companies, scientists, practitioners during business meetings, qualified and planned in advance to:

• Identify and bring together the actors of the sector,
• Strengthen public-private partnerships,
• Meet new partners for your projects: clients, healthcare players, patient associations, local authorities, research laboratories

Each appointment lasts 20 minutes.

You have a potential of 21 appointments over the three days.

How does it work?

Depending on your choices of attendance and availability provided during your registration, you will be able to issue and receive appointment invitations issued by other attendees: in case of acceptance, a table and a specific time slot will be reserved for you.

The day before the event, you will receive a summary of all your scheduled appointments so that you have an overview of your agenda.
